The Northern Cape Department of Health has once again partnered with the Sishen Iron Ore Company Community Development Trust (SIOC-CDT) and Anglo American Kolomela Mine to bring much needed upgrades to health care facilities in an effort to improve health care services. 
Today, the MEC for Health in the Northern Cape, Mr Maruping Lekwene together with senior officials from SIOC-CDT and Anglo American, Kolomela Mine officially opened the Postmasburg Hospital theatre. The theatre state of the art equipment to the total value of R18m. 
We can confirm that the Theatre will be operationalised starting from tomorrow morning, wherein a total of 100 patients will undergo cataract surgery. These will be performed by the South African National Council for the Blinds.
