The Northern Cape MEC for Transport, Safety and Liaison, Ms Nomandla Bloem is currently serving as acting MEC for Health, for the said period. This comes after the Health MEC, Mr Maruping Lekwene formed part of the Provincial delegation led by Premier of the Northern Cape Province, Dr Zamani Saul to New Delhi in India. The outbound mission is on invitation from Vedanta Zinc International (VZI) to go and view their mining operation, smelters and oncology hospital.
