As part of our Departments’ build-up activity leading-up to the EXCO Outreach programme in the Dawid Kruiper local municipality, the Northern Cape Health MEC, Mr Maruping Lekwene accompanied by senior management in the Department conducted oversight visits to Progress, Lingelethu and Louisvale-weg clinics in Upington. 

These visits forms part of the MEC’s ongoing programme to monitor progress made since his last oversight visits and gauge on the availability of medication and medical equipment.In terms of nursing staffing, Progress clinic currently operates with 10 nurses, 9 nurses at Lingelethu clinic, whilst Louisvale-weg runs with 6 nurses.
