Onesight EssilorLuxottica Foundation in collaboration with Northern Cape Department of Health officially launched the Optometry Clinic at Dr Harry Surtie Hospital in the ZF Mgcawu District. The event was graced by among others, - Health MEC, Mr Maruping Lekwene, acting HOD, Mr Riaan Strydom, Ms Ndukuya representing One Sight foundation.

One Sight is an independent non-profit organization that provides access to quality vision care, eyewear and sun protection. The total value of donation by the Foundation amounts to R1 200 000,00. (This includes equipment for both Dr Harry Surtie and Galeshewe Day hospitals). On behalf of the Provincial government, MEC Lekwene appreciated the donation and further committed the facility to ensure the safety of these equipment and its optimal utilisation for the benefit of communities.
