The Northern Cape Department of Health's MEC, Mr Maruping Lekwene
accompanied by Head of Ministry, Ms. Lorato Moleleki conducted an oversight
visit to Carnarvon CHC in Kareeberg local municipality.

The follow-up visit forms part of MECs programme to monitor service
delivery in terms of cleanliness, medication stock levels, medical
equipment availability and physical state of facilities.

MEC Lekwene is elated to note that following the fire that erupted at this
facility due to electrical fault, the electricity had since been restored.
The MEC impressed upon district health management to ensure that all
outstanding work be completed by latest this Friday, for the facility to
run optimally.
