As part of our ongoing strategy to bring health services closer to communities, SIOC-CDT supported by Health, Social Development, Education Departments launched the Comprehensive Health and Wellness programme in John Taolo Gaetsewe District and Tsantsabane Local Municipality, earlier today.
This project was launched at Kuruman Casino in the Gasegonyana local municipality, under the theme; ‘Touch a Life, Change a Community’.
Among the dignitaries in attendance; - Health MEC, Mr Maruping Lekwene; Mayor of Gasegonyana municipality, Cllr Neo Masegela, Kgosi Jantjie, representatives from SIOC CDT, Mr Mosimanegape Macomo and Senior government officials. The SIOC-CDT Comprehensive Health and Wellness programme will run over a period of 36 months focusing on demand creation for school health, mental health, women’s health, substance abuse, HIV & AIDS, STI and TB control.
This collaborative effort between all sectors clearly signifies a commitment towards eradicating the scourge of diseases in our communities and re-establishing good health and well-being amongst all our people.
