Over 200 members appointed to serve on the health governance structures today converged for the final lap of the induction and orientation session at Horseshoe hoe Inn, in Kimberley. The session was officially opened by Health MEC, Mr Maruping Lekwene, and graced by the presence of local Mayors, Ward Councillors and Senior management in the Department. These structures are expected to bridge the communication gap between health care facilities and the communities they serve, strengthen community participation and advocacy, monitor and evaluate service delivery, identify gaps as well as address challenges hampering on the delivery of health services in the Province.
